both nvidia's DirectDraw acceleration and AGP texture acceleration are "enabled". Some weird details: the HD4600's direct3d acceleration is "enabled". Nvidia custom care suggested me to ask for help from Microsoft, so here I am. Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth" and "sfc /scannow", it shows that my OS is intact!. Then they suggested me to do a System File Check to see if my OS is intact, so i followed the steps and checked using CMD commend "DISM.exe I later asked for help from nvidia custom care, they suggested me to installĬUDA toolkit, again, D3D acceleration was "enabled" for a few hours, and it automatically became "not available". It even happened during video rendering process, which directly caused that render to fail.

The driver, it can work for a few hours, and d3d acceleration became "not available" again. For example, on a small set of Microsoft Windows computers with bad DirectDraw or Direct3D drivers, the use of hardware-accelerated rendering might cause. I also checked for C++ library, they are all fine. After a few times, I tried to repair directX using DirectX repair tool, but the tool says my directX is intact. I boot my laptop to work, D3D acceleration is again "not available".

I thought it should be a driver problem, so I reinstalled the latest driver, it worked for some time(a few hours?) and next time So I used dxdiag to check what's going on, it turned out that under nvidia card, the Direct3d acceleration is "not available". Industrial softwares (Premiere and Da VInci Resolve) and Games have problem running.(crash for premiere, can't open for Resolve and games) Resolve suggested I do not have CUDA acceleration hardware.
My laptop has a integrated intel HD4600 card and a GTX 950M 4g ddr3 card.įrom like two weeks ago my nvidia card begin to have problems. I have a ASUS X550JX laptop with win10 1709 version(fall creator update) installed. Direct3d acceleration "not available" for weeks!!! If it fails at least they tried a solution that seemed to answer the problem. If it works then we have a solution that makes Windows even better, even more adaptive.

This was an accidental discovery with the potential to solve the problems of DirectX gaming as experienced by multiple people in Windows 8.1 and Windows 10. It's worth activating 3D Acceleration, its worth activating all 3 by default in DirectX programs. Now it might be that when while the option said 3D Acceleration it meant all 3 of them, DirectDraw, 3D, and AGP Texture Accelerations. When unchecked the fullscreen collapsed and returned to the massive black border surrounding all of it with the visual/graphics/image not expanding at all, even shrinking a little bit, whenĬhecked again it restored the fullscreen.ģD acceleration is something that is done by DirectX as shown by dxdiag under Display, between DirectDraw Acceleration and AGP Texture Acceleration. I looked at the options and found a checkbox for 3D Acceleration. Plants vs Zombies as I wrote in the first post of this thread goes fullscreen when the other DirectX programs I like do not.
I'm not just asking for this for no reason. Microsoft: need 3d acceleration to activate for DirectX programs
